Dark Horse

I collaborated with sailmaker, Josh Bevins, to create a one-of-a-kind painted sail for the 2005 Gloucester Schooner Festival. Painted in four days and sewn and rigged in five, the sail depicts reflections of the riggings of the sailboat, Dark Horse, in the waters of Gloucester harbor. The sail was hoisted on the Dark Horse for her maiden voyage. The Dark Horse is the boat and home of Hallie Baker and her husband Graham Tutill. This project was made possible through a grant from seARTS and with a generous materials donation from Bevins Sailmakers.
